However, there’s a uniformity of procedures based on the technical staff experience (commercial or operational) who know and apply in their activity the actual environmental legislation (Portuguese and European) and the BREF’s applicable to each one of the premises; Emissions from Storage – July 2006 (Installation for the Transfer and Storage of Industrial Waste), and Waste Treatments Industries - August 2006 (Installation for the Physical-chemical Treatment of Industrial Waste).

The most recent internal training course was held during July 2007.

At the beginning of 2007, an environmental / security audit was carried out on both premises, and resulted in remedial action being implemented immediately.

From a legal point of view, Quimitécnica Ambiente has been granted licences for the physical-chemical treatment of industrial waste (number 56/2007, dated 26th October 2007) and the storage and movement of industrial waste (number 85/2008, dated 26th May 2008),
